Designing strategic digital experiences to move your business forward.

Rachel Ann Fraser

About Me

Hi! I’m Rachel, and I’m a UX/UI Designer in Los Angeles. My services include user experience design, strategy development, and content writing. I set companies up for success by designing solutions that strike the right balance between business goals and user needs.

My Process

Business Requirements

Understand what we’re trying to solve, who we are solving it for, why we’re trying to solve it, where the current status is, and when the solution should be implemented. Interviews uncover objectives and user research aids in persona development.

Determine how we’re going to solve the problem. Competitive and comparative analysis reveal how others have solved the problem while insights from user research activities lay the foundation for the design.

Dashboard Design

Translate the abstract into concrete visual designs. I sketch various solutions and convert them into low fidelity prototypes. I test my ideas with users to gather feedback. I cycle through this process until we agree to move forward to visual design.

UX Design Annotations

Prepare my high fidelity comps for the development team. I provide a style guide, annotated mockups with CSS, and videos demonstrating microinteractions to effectively communicate my designs.

Featured Work

Epiphone is an American musical instrument manufacturer known for their acoustic and electric guitars. Their website was dated and due for a modern upgrade. For this ecommerce design, I focused on redesigning the ecommerce grid and product detail pages with consideration to mobile responsiveness and usability.

Turnkey Websites offers turnkey business solutions for professionals in the pet industry. One of their offerings is a content management system that allows business owners to create and manage their websites. In my role as UX/UI Designer, I conducted user research and redesigned the CMS to be modern and intuitive.

I designed a website for a concept company called Sun + Sound. The idea stems from having visited several festival websites and identifying areas of improvement. This company is a concert promoter known for its annual summer music festival.
